Okay first off – Mum don’t take the title personally, I just thought it was funny.
And it’s also true.
Katie O’Shaughnessy is kind of proof of that. And though I hate to admit it, she also proves everything my mother, father and all my teachers have ever said about working hard and not giving up on sh*t.
Katie is my favourite YouTuber ever.
She is basically me.
Except she’s Irish, has awesome tattoos, is successful and way cooler than I will ever be.
But we’re both pretty nerdy and swear like goddamn champions, so there is that.
To give you the rundown; Katie started by doing videos about The Walking Dead on YouTube. Predictions for the upcoming series, vlogs of conventions, reactions, reviews and analysis.
Now she has over 57,000 YouTube subscribers, a successful Patreon channel, and fans from all over the world. Her reactions have been featured on the Walking Dead chat show; Talking Dead and she’s interviewed stars from the show for her channel.
I think Katie is pretty dang cool. And kind of inspiring too. She’s taken something she loves and turned it into a success without losing the joy from when it started.
Her enjoyment of the shows and movies she reacts too is contagious and it’s actually made me enjoy shows more and notice things I never had before.
It also helps that this b*tch is funny as all hell. Like, I thought my cursing was quite inventive, I ain’t got nothing on her.
So yeah, Katie is my favourite YouTuber ever.
And I also consider her a friend (and J.C Mary and Joseph I hope that isn’t one sided or this becomes less supportive and more stalkerish.)
She’s helped me embrace the dorkiness that is me and get more confident. When I’m having a bad day, I turn to her videos.
And she also inspired me to start this website, so if you don’t like the sh*t I post then it’s all on her and has nothing to do with me!
