I Am Woman

So, it’s International Women’s Day! Whoop whoop!

For today I thought I’d present you with a list I have curated for a while now *clears throat…

LIST OF FEMALES WHO I WOULD: A) DIE FOR B) KILL FOR C) ASK TO RESPECTFULLY STEP ON ME
(Real and fictional 😊)

1. MY MOTHER (VIOLENTLY THROWS HEART EMOJIS)

2. Inej Ghafa (Six of Crows) Inej could and would slit my throat but she is a precious baby who must be protected at all costs.

3. Harley Quinn Crazy chicks do it better.

4. Cate Blanchett Do I really need to explain? Look at her…

5. Emily Prentiss (Criminal Minds) The woman who started and ended my sexuality crisis.

6. Liesel Meminger (The Book Thief) I know nothing of what it is to live in the kind of fear that existed in Nazi Germany. But real or not, I see in Liesel what I have known in myself. The hunger for words and knowledge that overpowers the desire for food on occasion. The use of literature to find something better. The love of books. The Book Thief stole my heart as easily as a hardback and I’d adopt her in a heartbeat.

7. Stephanie Beatriz AKA Rosa Diaz (Brooklyn 99) This woman is a chameleon and Rosa both terrifies, excites and fascinates me in equal measure.

8. AJ Lee (Ex WWE Wrestler, Best selling author and general nerd) I’ve talked about AJ before. She’s been my hero since I was 12 years old.

9. Captain Olivia Benson (Law and Order: SVU) No one could have brought Olivia Benson to life like Mariska Hargitay. Olivia has been on the front line of fighting for survivors since 1999 and I don’t see her slowing down any time soon. #MeToo

10. Zendaya Step on me.

11. Yelena Belova I have a soft spot for dry humoured, brainwashed, ex-soviet spies (in fiction. The real Russians are on the naughty list at the moment).

12. Florence Pugh The woman who brought Yelena to life. She is EVERYTHING and if she punched me in the face I’d say thank you.

13. Michelle Obama Yes Ma’am, Miss (Future?) President.

14. Jodie Comer (In general) but Jodie Comer – specifically J.C as Villanelle What. A. QUEEN. Like yeah she’d 1000% stab me, but I’d die smiling.

15. Carrie Fisher (May she rest in eternal power and peace) The love I had and still hold for Miss Fisher knows no end. She was unapologetically herself, smart as anyone and so funny. She loved deeply and is loved just as much in return. I genuinely miss her as a person on this earth so much. If ever someone embodied the phrase “Don’t give a fuck”? Carrie Fisher. Here comes the General. RISE UP!

16. Natasha Romanoff

17. Leigh Bardugo A genius among mortals. Trust me, I’m so not done raving about the creations of this lady.

18. Hermione Granger Without Hermione, the Caitlin you know today would not exist… So technically it’s all her fault!

19. Billie Eilish Yes dad. I put her on this list just to annoy you.

20. Rose Ayling – Ellis If you watched the last series of Strictly Come Dancing you’ll get it. If not… meh, go YouTube it.

Happy International Women's Day Y'all.
